Ohio Northern junior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of Sept. 17-23.
Cranmer led the ONU women's golf team to the team at the Bluffton HCAC Fall Invitational last weekend.
She was seventh out of 76 golfers with a 20-over par 80-84—164 on the par-72, 5817-yard course.
This marks the sixth time in her career and the second time this season that Cranmer has been named OAC Women's Golfer of the Week.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday-Sunday at the OAC Fall Championships at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette.
Ohio Northern University will give it the ‘ol college try with a full slate of activities on tap for Homecoming weekend Oct. 4-6.
The annual event offers a special time for former students to return to their college home, relive cherished memories, visit with longtime friends and reconnect with their alma mater.

VAN WERT - The Ada cross country team competed in the Van Wert Invitational meet Saturday.
The Bulldog boys finished 12th in the 12-team meet. Ottawa-Glandorf (61 points) nosed out Shawnee (65) for the team title.
Lincolnview finished third with 79 points, followed by Parkway (119), Van Wert (123), Crestview (147), Elida (178), Ottoville (213), Bluffton (217), Paulding (251), Allen East (274) and Ada (350).
Bulldog senior Hunter Wells ended up 77th in a field of 150 runners to register the top Ada finish. Sophomore Seth Swaney came in 87th to finish second for the Bulldogs.
