Several Ada/ONU people and businesses recognized at annual dinner meeting and award presentation of the Hardin Chamber and Business Alliance

It was Ada Night in Hardin County on Feb. 27.

Several persons, organizations and businesses with Ada and Ohio Northern University connections were recognized at the 14th annual dinner meeting and award presentation of the Hardin Chamber and Business Alliance held on the ONU campus. The list of awardees follows:

Wilson Sporting Goods - Ada
For 165 years, Wilson Football has made Hardin County its home. Each year, over 700,000 footballs are handmade in Ada by Wilson’s talented workforce.

Ada schools' lunch menu for March is now available. The Icon recommends the french toast with syrup. 

Ada school superintendent, Meri Skilliter, announced this morning of a school day rescheduling due to the Feb. 27 school cancellation.

The notice on Ohio Alerts states: "Due to today's (Feb. 27) cancellation, we will now have school on Wednesday, April 15."

Originally, April 15, was the final day of the previously scheduled Easter break, which means the break will end one day early.

Ada schools are cancelled today (Thursday, Feb. 27). The announcement was made at 7:32 a.m. on Ohio Alerts.

Ada schools are on a two-hour delay for Thursday morning, Feb. 27, according to Meri Skilliter, superintendent. The delay was announced at 10:07 p.m. on Ohio Alerts.

Ada middle and high school students interested in spinning a flag are invited to a color guard clinic.

Clinics are in the gym on  March 10, 12, 17 and 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The clinic is open to beginners and veterans in both middle school and high school. Sign up sheets are in the school office and band room.
