Colleen Wilson, a volunteer with Keep Hardin County Beautiful, plays the piano while guests visit the Milks home on South Johnson Street during the Candy Cane Tour of Homes held on Sunday afternoon.
If you missed the tour of two places in Ada (The Inn was the second Ada stop), then you'll have to wait for two years for the next tour. Keep Hardin County Beautiful organizes a tour of homes in the county every two years. This year's venues also included five homes and businesses near Kenton.

"Here, Santa, do you want a banana," Cullen Callahan, 4, seems to be saying.
The exchange took place during Breakfast with Santa at The Inn on Saturday morning.
Cullen is from Lima; Santa is from the North Pole.
The Sold Out event drew 70 youngsters and family members for a festive buffet, a gift from Santa, and a photo with Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. Santa also listened to the children's wish lists.
There's no chance to relax in Ada this holiday season.

Here's the Icon's Hometown Happenings calendar for December and January. Darlene Bowers puts the calendar together for the Icon.
You'll find events from:
• The community
• Ada schools
• Ohio Northern University
• The Freed Center
• The Inn at ONU

Mike and Beth Milks, a well-known Ada couple, welcome you to their 1880s Queen Anne style home during the Candy Cane Tour of Homes on Sunday afternoon.
The Victorian homestead, with a carriage house out back, is located at 424 S. Johnson St. There are several Christmas trees and other holiday decorations to view in the house with tall ceilings, alcoves, beautiful woodwork, and wallpapered rooms, all befitting a home build many decades ago.
