Voluntary survey conducted by several educational and youth serving organizations

Ada school students from grades 7 to 11 are particpating in a statewide survey this spring titled: Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!).

OHYES! represents the collaborative effort of the Ohio Departments of Education, Health and Mental Health & Addiction Services, Ohio National Guard and representatives of educational and youth serving organizations.

The survey is a free, voluntary, web-based survey to collect information that schools and communities can use to access resources to reduce risk behaviors and create healthy and safe community, school and family environments.

Tuesday, May 2, is the date for Ohio's primary election - but polls in Hardin County will not be open because there are no local issues or party runoffs.

You'll find PAT DEAC in Bluffton on a gray Buick LaCrosse. Its owners are Pat and Don Schmidt.

All Ada students from grades 1-6 will have an art piece on display in the elementary school hallways from 5-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4.

• Arbor Day #2 in Ada: it rained, but that didn't stop the activities planned for the Railroad Depot Park on Saturday morning. Besides, trees need rain and it's been a rather dry spring so far.

• Arbor Day #1 occurred at the school Friday afternoon CLICK HERE FOR THAT STORY.
