Amy Hall gives a sack of unused, unwanted medicine to Sheriff Keith Everhart on Saturday. More than 200 vehicles passed through the Drug Take-back sites in Ada, Forest, and Kenton where volunteers collected hundreds of pounds of unused prescription and over the counter medications for disposal.
The event was a cooperative effort of the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District, Hardin Memorial Hospital, The Hardin County Sheriff's Office, the Forest Police Deptment and the Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy.

The Village Garden, sponsored by The ReStore Community Center of Ada, is in
need of new leadership coordinating the volunteers and gardeners of this
lovely downtown garden.
Begun many years ago, the garden has nine large beds and four smaller ones.
Those claiming a garden for the summer season care for their garden bed,
weeding it, watering it and nurturing the plants towards harvest.

Community Health Professionals annual dinner and auction Thursday evening drew more than 100 people to a gala affair to support CHP the hospice program.
Several thousand dollars are raised annually for the Beacon of Hope, which provides care for patients and families. The lighthouse symbolizes each individual’s life and the hope that hospice brings.
Deb Curlis, CHP fundraising coordinator, gathers donations from businesses for months for a silent auction, live auction, and raffle.
Claudia Crawford, nursing supervisor, described what hospice is.
