More than 80 people gathered on the Tundra Friday evening to watch "Frozen," the first Family Fun Night of the summer.
"Toy Story" will be shown free on July 3 at dusk (about 9:15 p.m.). The outdoor movie series is sponsored by the Freed Center for the Performing Arts and Bluffton Hospital.
ReStore sold popcorn, pop, and candy, making the movie-going experience authentic.
"Frozen" was shown on a hot summer day in Ada, but by nightfall the weather was pleasant. It was out with the blankets and lawn chairs to watch the 2013 Disney animated musical fantasy-comedy.
Mark Light, Hardin County 4-H educator, provided the Icon with Hardin County poultry project updates. These updates are the 2015 plan in response to the Ohio Department of Agriculture ban on poultry exhibitions.
"In case you haven’t heard, in an aggressive move designed to help protect Ohio’s $2.3 billion poultry industry from the avian flu that has so negatively impacted other poultry-producing states, this past Tuesday, June 2 the Ohio Department of Agriculture canceled all live bird exhibitions this year," said Light.
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce has a busy June, according to Deb Curlis, chamber president.

By Amy Eddings Spring training is winding down for The Cadets, the junior drum and bugle corps that has been in residence at Ohio Northern University since early May.
This is their last week of rehearsals before they begin a multi-state summer performance and competition circuit that will take them from Massachusetts to Texas. They’ll conclude their time in Ada with a free performance for the public on Sunday, June 14, at 8 p.m. at ONU’s Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Ada farmers' market opened for the season on Thursday in the Depot parking lo. for the past two years the market was at Community Health Professionals.
ReStore took over the market this year. It will be open each Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monty Siekerman visited the opening day event and took these photos.
