MT. BLANCHARD - North Central Ohio Soccer Association leader Riverdale defeated visiting Ada 9-0 in a boys soccer match Thursday night.
The defeat dropped the Bulldog record to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in NCOSA play. The Falcons improved to 12-2-1 overall and 5-0-1 in NCOSA action with the victory.
Ada plays at tough county rival Kenton (8-3-2) on Saturday, October 10 at 5 p.m. in a non-league bout.

SPENCERVILLE - The visiting Ada volleyball team swept Spencerville to win a Northwest Conference spike tilt Thursday night.
Ada won 25-16, 25-18, 25-20 to up the Lady Bulldog overall record to 8-10 overall and 2-5 in NWC play.
Spencerville fell to 2-15 and 0-7 in the NWC with the defeat.
Senior middle Megan Light led Ada with 14 kills, nine digs and three blocks. Versatile senior Miranda Wills amassed 12 digs, hit for seven kills and served three aces.
Junior setter Kirsten Poling passed out 23 assists and also came up with nine digs.

ADA - With basketball season just around the corner, Ada boys head coach Dre White surprisingly announced he was stepping down from his post after four seasons as Bulldog mentor this week.
"First and foremost I would like to thank Ken Jochims, the AD at the time I was hired, for taking a chance on a young coach back then," said White.
"Coaching here the last four seasons is an experience I will value and cherish," he continued. "It was not how I envisioned my time at Ada to conclude."

MT. BLANCHARD - The visiting Ada girls soccer team lost 7-1 at Riverdale in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Wednesday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-10 overall and 1-4 in NCOSA action with the loss. The Lady Falcons improved to 7-6-1 and 4-1 in the NCOSA standings after the victory.
A strong start gave Riverdale a 5-0 lead at the half, but the Bulldog girls battled them to a 2-1 second half.
Strong-legged senior standout Brenna Hissong scored the lone Ada goal off a free kick after intermission.

VAN BUREN - The visiting Ada girls soccer team lost 7-0 to Van Buren in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association makeup bout Tuesday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-9 overall and 1-3 in NCOSA action with the defeat. The Lady Black Knights improved to 5-6-2 and 2-2 in NCOSA play with the victory.
Ada junior keeper Olivia Green was credited with 19 saves in goal.
The Bulldogs visit Riverdale (6-6-1, 3-1 NCOSA) Wednesday, October 7 as he play their third match in three consecutive nights.

PAULDING - The visiting Ada volleyball team got off to a good start at tough Paulding but lost a four-set Northwest Conference battle Tuesday night.
Ada won the tight first set in overtime 26-24, but then saw the Panthers rally to take the next three games 25-23, 25-17, and 25-14.
The defeat dropped the Lady Bulldog overall record to 7-10 overall and 1-6 in NWC play.
Paulding improved to 13-3 and stayed third in the deep NWC at 5-1 with the win.
Senior Megan Light led Ada with 15 kills, 12 digs and five blocks. Senior Miranda Wills compiled 23 digs, eight kills, two blocks and one ace.
