Kylie Acheson mustered up 16 digs, Courtney Sumner hustled up 13 digs

BELLEFONTAINE - The Ada volleyball team lost a tough four-setter at non-league foe Ben Logan Monday evening.

The 25-13, 24-26, 25-22, 25-23 defeat to the Lady Raiders lowered the Lady Bulldog record to 2-2 this season.

Senior Miranda Wills topped Ada with 22 digs, seven kills and two blocks. Classmate Megan Light hammered a team-high 12 kills, came up with 14 digs, made three blocks and served one ace.

Ada travels to Columbus Grove on Friday

HARROD - It poured rain almost right up to game time, and then host Allen East poured it on backyard rival Ada 41-14 in the Northwest Conference and regular season opener Friday night at Mustang Stadium.

AE (1-0, 1-0 NWC East) ran out to a 41-0 halftime lead to earn the opening victory. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs start 0-1 overall and 0-1 in the NWC East.

MARION - The Ada girls soccer team earned their first win with a 5-2 victory at Marion Harding Saturday afternoon.

The victory upped the Lady Bulldog record to 1-2.

Ada linksters seek improvement

ADA - The rebuilding Ada boys golf program will be led by a returning senior and three juniors this season.

Eighth-year head coach Jason Campbell welcomes three lettermen, one other experienced player and two newcomers to the six-man squad in 2020.

Senior Jacob Morgan is the club's best golfer and its only returning senior. He will pull double duty as he also runs cross country for Ada this fall after golf season ends.

"Jacob is a leader and is mentally tough which shows on the course," said Campbell. "He is not negatively affected by mistakes and makes adjustments during matches. He will be our top golfer."

Bulldogs travel to Allen East on Monday

OLD FORT - The Ada boys soccer team earned its first win of the season with a 5-2 victory at Old Fort Thursday evening.

The convincing victory over the Stockaders improved the Bulldog record to 1-2.

Ada lost its home opener 4-1 to New Knoxville Monday.

Ada kicks off Northwest Conference play at local backyard rival Allen East Monday, August 31 at 7 p.m.

COLDWATER - The Ada volleyball team got swept in three sets at Midwest Athletic Conference power Coldwater Thursday evening.

The 25-13, 25-12, 25-11 defeat dropped the Lady Bulldog record to 2-1 this season.

Senior Miranda Wills led Ada with 14 digs, four kills and one block. Classmate Kylie Acheson came up with seven digs. 

Junior Kirsten Poling passed out three assists, made one block and served two aces. Senior Megan Light came up with one block and dealt a pair of aces.
 
Sophomore Courtney Sumner served one ace.
