The Ohio Historical Marker for the Ada Railroad Depot is itself twenty years old. Visit this and all such markers at RemarkableOhio.org.

Tri-State Auto Liquidators LLC has temporarily set up in the former Cole Motors location on Buckeye St. in Ada with a sale of passenger vehicles from 2010-2021. With its eye-catching inflatables and balloons, the business is selling cars, offering cash prizes to shoppers as well as financing and insurance opportunities.

The sales event will run through Sunday, November 14.

On Friday, November 6, Ohio Northern University unveiled the commissioned scultpure "Nexus" by Professor of Art Luke Sheets. The work is displayed on the first floor of Heterick Library, where is it is illuminated internally and can be viewed from inside and outside the building.

The sculpture was commissioned in honor of the university's 150th anniversary. The cylindrical structure is described as exploring "one of the most concrete intersections of art and mathematics—the golden ratio. It also includes numerous symbolic components and uses light to illustrate the concept of students venturing toward their future."

Rex Alan Cole, age 68, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 20, 1953 in Wood County, Ohio to the late Alan E. and Bonnie (Neifer) Cole. Rex married Sharon Rex and she survives in Harrod.

Also surviving are his children: Ria Cole of Westerville, Nathan (Amy) Cole of Lewisburg and Ashley Cole of Lima; six grandchildren; two brothers: Craig (Toni) Cole of Hubert, NC, and Chris (Rexanne) Cole of Dola; and a sister, Amy (Jeff) Sheldon of Ada.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Cole.

Victor Lyle Schick, 73, passed on October 31, 2021, at his home. He was born February 14, 1948 to Victor Arnold and Dorothy Marie (Hullinger) Schick who preceded him in death as well as a grandson, Christopher Lyle Schick; mother-in-law, Charlotte May; a brother-in-law, Perry May; a nephew, Terry Robnolte and brother-in-law, Gene Robnolte. 

Lyle married Brenda Sue (Conrad) Schick on November 12, 1967 who survives. 

At 7 p.m. on November 9, the Ada Public Library will host Family Bingo. The event is for all ages and includes prizes.
