MEDIA RELEASE__Heartbeat of Hardin County is having the annual Christmas  $2.00 Jewelry Sale at its office, 220 E Franklin St., Kenton, Ohio on the following dates:

Dec. 4 from 2:00-7:00  p.m.
Dec. 5 from 10:00 a.m. -4 p.m.
Dec. 6 from 10 a.m.-1  p.m. 

There will be over 15 tables full of earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets. More items are added to each sale and during the sale. This sale will also have a large selection of new Paparazzi Jewelry. All other items are gently used in good condition or new.  Most pieces are $2.00 each. There may be a table with a few higher-priced items.  

Highway Patrol shares tips for safe holiday travel

MEDIA RELEASE__The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is urging all motorists to prioritize safety as they travel for the Thanksgiving holiday, which is traditionally one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Linda Carol Jones, age 81, of Alger, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Logan Acres in Bellefontaine. 

She was born on April 5, 1944, in Kentucky to the late Russell and Daisy (Moore) Spencer.  She married Michael Jones, and he preceded her in death.

FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada Schools recognized all middle school students who participated in the November 20 science fair and for their curiosity, hard work and innovation.

Seventh graders submitted a project and carefully prepared poster presentations. From hands-on experiments to confident explanations, students blended science and speaking skills in this learning experience.

The event was made possible by the support of volunteer judges.

MEDIA RELEASE__On October 27, eight Ada FFA (Future Farmers of America) members participated in the Sub-District Job Interview CDE (Career Developement Events). Prior to the event, they had to select an Ag-related job to apply for and complete a resume and cover letter.

At the contest, members were asked to complete a job application, participate in an interview with a judge, and write a follow-up letter. 

Moving on to district competition are Dailah Preston and Maycie Dewese.

FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada Public Library reported, "We had a Grinchtastic time today" at the November 22 Art Club event, where painters of all ages tried their hand at colorful variations of Grinch fingers holding a Christmas tree ornament.
