COLUMBUS – The Ada High School boys soccer team scored late to tie county rival Kenton 1-1 in the “309 Cup” game played at lower.com field, the home of the Columbus Crew Major League Soccer club on Sunday evening, September 21.
The Bulldogs pressed hard in the final minutes and rallied to salvage a draw, then had a chance to win it in the waning moments.
Ada ran its record to 6-3-2 after the hard-fought draw. Kenton is now 7-1-3 with the tie.
“What a great game,” said Ada second-year head coach Aaron Acheson. “It was a competitive, high-energy match.

ADA__Despite a sparkling 9-2-2 record, the Ada High School girls soccer team is not yet assured of a high seed in the tough sectional quarter of their big overall district tournament draw.
Ada plays in the Div. V district bracket, which is split into four groupings. Ada is in section C which includes Putnam County League powers Miller City (6-1-2), Continental (8-0-2) and Columbus Grove (6-1-2). Other teams in section C are always-tough Bluffton (5-6), Kalida (4-4-1), LCC (1-5) and Allen East (1-8-1).
