Ada service department employee Rob Mix spent Friday locating water services in preparation for upcoming storm sewer improvements in Ada this spring.

Mix then marked each spot with blue paint and/or blue flags, color-coded to indicate "water." 

Green flags and paint indicate "sewer," while yellow indicates "gas."

International food, talent show, dancing, all part of multicultural fair April 8

Ohio Northern University will hold its annual Multicultural Fair in the ONU Sports Center on Friday, April 8, from 5-8 p.m.

This event is a collaboration between ONU’s International Services, World Student Organization, Multicultural Planning Committee and Student Senate. It is part of the annual United for Awareness Week.

The new, larger location will provide more space for free food, cultural booths, a cultural talent show and dancing

Congressman Latta addresses Dicke Forum

Ohio Northern University welcomed Rep. Bob Latta to the Dicke Forum on March 29.

The topic of Latta’s talk was ”How important is the manufacturing industry to government? How is the government supporting the manufacturing industry in Ohio and surrounding region?”

It was followed by a question-and-answer session with those in attendance. The event was co-sponsored by the Department of Technological Studies and the Department of History, Politics, and Justice.

Bluffton Farmers' Market vendor meeting April 5; market opens May 7

The Bluffton Farmers’ Market invites interested vendors to an information meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall, according to Greg Probst, market manager.

The market’s opening date is Saturday, May 7, in the Citizens National Bank parking lot on South Main Street, Bluffton. This is the market’s 12th season.

The market will be open each Saturday from May 7 through the last Saturday of October. Market hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The April 5 vendor meeting includes a presentation from the Allen County Health Department, which covers some of the market rules and regulations.
