Donald Haney retired from Haney Piano Company
Donald R. Haney, 72, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 12:22 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on June 7, 1942 in Auglaize County, Ohio to LeRoy and Bonnie (Arnett) Haney and they are deceased. He married Cheryl A. Mears on January 23, 1965, and she survives in LaFayette, Ohio.
He retired from Haney Piano Company.
Surviving are four daughters: Linda (Rod) Dysert of Ada, Kimberly (Jeff) Newfer of Cridersville, Jennifer (Kyle) Mauk of Lima, and Amanda (James) Mooney of Lima. Also surviving are a brother: David (Ardith) Haney of Harrod; two sisters: Shirley (Tom) Bendele of Wapakoneta, and Judy (Clyde) Jackson of Westminister; eight grandchildren: Cody (Nikki) Dysert, Travis and Austin Dysert, Zachary Newfer, Alexis Newbury, Madison, Dalton and Harper Mooney. Also surviving is his brother-in-law, Charlie Whitaker of Kenton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lillie Mae Whitaker and Wilma Pitts.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Pastor Gus Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and until the time of the service on Friday.
