The Hardin County Humane Society has several fund-raising events planned this spring.

Neuter scooter May 8

The society will have Neuter Scooter spay and neuter clinic for cats. It will take place Friday, May 8, at 9 a.m. Pre-registration can take place by going to neuterscooter.com or call 419-675-2932 to find out what you need to do and the cost.

Car wash May 9

A spray and neuter car wash takes place from noon to 4 p.m. at Auto Zone, Kenton, Donations from the event support the society. For more information call 567-674-8824.

Chicken barbecue May 13

A chicken barbecue will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, held at 13520 State Route 68 S, Kenton. The barbecue is a drive-thru and pre-sale tickets are available by calling 419-674-3808 by April 29. Donation are accepted for the dinner, prepared by Stretch and Donna Morrison.

Poker run June 20

The 10th annual poker run for animals is Saturday, June 20.  Registration begins at 10 a.m.  and everyone will be out by 11 a.m. and back by 4 p.m. Donations are accepted and a blessing of the bikes takes place before the run begins. A meal takes place at the end of the run.
