Ohio Northern University ONU Symphony Orchestra to present ‘A French Twist’
The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents the ONU Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Music Director Travis Jürgens will conduct the ONU Symphony Orchestra in the season finale, “A French Twist.”
Works include Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” (orchestrated by Ravel), Gershwin’s “An American in Paris,” Ravel’s “Pavane pour une infante défunte” and Milhaud’s Percussion Concerto, featuring Dr. Sarah Waters as soloist. Artwork related to “Pictures at an Exhibition” will be displayed on the monitors in the lobby.
Tickets for each of the Freed Center performances are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors, $5 for students, and $10 for ONU faculty and staff. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900.
