Academic Booster seek "a little help from our friends"
The Ada Academic Boosters seek volunteers to help with this year's Elementary Reading Carnival on Friday, May 8.
Grades K-5 participate in this fun event that rewards the kids for their reading efforts throughout the school year.
The students are given tickets that they can use at the carnival to play fun games or win raffle prizes. There are also chances to win books at a guessing game.
According to the Boosters: "We need around 34 volunteers to make this a successful event for the students. Volunteer shifts run from 8:15 - 10:45 a.m. or noon to - 2:30 p.m.
Volunteers may work the morning shift, the afternoon shift or both. The Boosters will provide lunch for volunteers who work both shifts. If interested in volunteering, please contact Lori Poling at [email protected].
The Boosters wish to thank the area business that donated items for last year's carnival –
• Reichert’s
• Wilson's Football
• Four Seasons Drive-Thru
• 3 Brother's Pizza
• Padrone's,
• McDonald's and
• Wal-Mart
