Ohio Northern junior Amanda Everlove has completed her competition for Team USA at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.

Everlove finished 17th in the 100 freestyle (S8 Classification) in 1:19.38 on Thursday.

She made it to the finals in two of her events, placing eighth in the 100 fly in 1:18.56 on Aug. 30 and was eighth in the 200 I.M. in 3:00.49 on Sept. 5.

She also placed 13th in the 50 free in :34.02 on Sept. 2 and was 14th in the 100 back in 1:18.56 on Sept. 4.

Everlove qualified for Team USA in the 100 fly, finishing second in the S8 classification in 1:18.23 at the US Trials, posting the sixth-fastest time in the world in the event.

She also finished second at the US Trials in the 200 I.M. in 3:12.06 and in the 50 Free in :33.81.

This was Everlove's second Paralympic Games experience, as she earned three silver medals in the 2008 Games in Beijing in the 50 free, 100 Fly and the 200 I.M. events.

Ohio Northern head coach Peggy Ewald is a long-time assistant coach of the U.S. Paralympic team and will also represent the United States at the 2012 Paralympic Games.

Everlove helped the Polar Bears win the OAC Regular Season and Championships titles and to post a 10-3 record in 2011-12.
