Visitation for Gary Reams on Monday
Gary B. Reams, 71, died on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at 1 a.m. at Lima Manor, Lima.
He was born on Dec. 25, 1943, in Allen County, to Harold and Ona (Balmer) Reams who preceded him in death. On Jan. 27, 1968 he married Carol S. Hughes and she survives in Lima.
Gary retired from Sprint where he worked as a central office equipment installer. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Gary was a former member of the Ada First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post #96 of Lima.
Also surviving is a son, Steven (Tiffany) Reams of Lima; and a daughter, Tammy Gayheart of Lima; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Norman (Carol) Reams of Florida; three sisters: Carol Meyers of Virginia, Phyllis Woolridge of Texas and Alice (Gary) Bowers of Virginia.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Deacon J. Michael Hood officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada with graveside military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #96 of Lima.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 5, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #96 of Lima and/or the Ada Public Library.
