Bascom named OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Senior forward Nate Bascom has been named OAC Men's Soccer Player of the week.
In three games this week, Bascom scored five goals in helping the No. 12 Ohio Northern men's soccer team to victories over Wittenberg, Franklin (Ind.) and Transylvania (Ky.).
On Wednesday against Wittenberg, Bascom had a hat trick in the second half as the Polar Bears defeated the Tigers 5-0.
His three goals came in a span of 3:37.
On Friday, Bascom added two more goals as ONU defeated Franklin (Ind.) by a 3-1 score.
This time, he scored two goals in the span of 38 seconds.
Bascom currently leads the team and OAC in goals (nine) and points (21).
He is the third consecutive Polar Bear to win OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week, joining junior Jeremy Barnes and freshman Keegan Ross.
Ohio Northern will be in action again when they play at No. 23 Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday at 7 pm.
