Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC) with the ONU Dance Company on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m.

Founded in 1968 by Dayton, Ohio, native Jeraldyne Blunden, DCDC is the oldest modern dance company in Ohio and one of the largest companies of its kind between Chicago and New York City. Now in its 43rd year, DCDC has won national and international acclaim and is renowned for powerful, artistic performances, a diverse repertoire of works by world-class choreographers, and excellence in educational programming.

Members of the ONU Dance Company scheduled to perform are Jennifer Barnaba, a sophomore musical theatre and music performance double major from Bellbrook, Ohio; Liza Benedict, a third-year pharmacy major from Plain City, Ohio; Anne Cape, a freshman musical theatre major from Houston, Texas; Liz Coulston, a junior psychology major from Niles, Mich.; Joelle Farano, a second-year pharmacy major from Darien, Ill.; Sarah Novak, a junior musical theatre major from Floyds Knobs, Ind.; Amanda Jo Shigle, a junior pharmacy major from Irwin, Pa.; Kayla Starling, a fourth-year pharmacy major from Warren, Mich.; and Raeann Vuona, a junior psychology major from Westbrook, Conn.

Tickets are $25 for general admission, $10 for children and $7 for ONU students.
