Katelyn Guagenti headed to Thailand and maybe Laos with "GIVE"
Ada High School graduate Katelyn Guagenti’s summer plans involve a trip to Thailand and maybe Laos.
Guagenti, a sophomore communication science and disorders (speech pathology/audiology) major at Ohio State University, plans to be in Thailand from July 5 to 18. If her plans work out, she’ll also go to Laos from July 18-31.
Her summer plans center around a program titled GIVE. That stands for Growth International Volunteer Excursions.
“It provides communities with necessary infrastructure to foster sustainable growth,” she said. “I will be directly involved in building eco-friendly infrastructure out of recycled materials, teaching English and tutoring to children, protecting endangered sea turtles, and organizing extracurricular activities for children.”
She is inviting persons interested in assisting in her trip expenses to consider a donation.
Donations may be made online at www.tilt.com, by searching for her name “Katelyn Guagenti” in the search bar. Or donations can be sent to 0845 Township Road 25 Ada, OH, 45810.
