Attention next school year's Ada Kindergartners.

Tell your parents and caregivers that next year's Kindergarten registration takes place from March 7 to 11. Registration times are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day during the week in the Ada elementary school office.

On Tuesday, March 8, the office will remain open from 5 to 7 p.m. for parents who can't attend during the day. 

According to school officials it is not necessary to bring your child with you when registering. During registration you may set up a time for the Kindergarten screening to take place. Screen is Monday and Tuesday, May 9-10.

At the time of registration bring the following information:

• Child's birth certificate
• Social Security card
• Immunization records
• Custody papers, if necessary
• Proof of residency

The school will not allow registration without these documents. Registration takes approxmately one-half hour.

Immunizations required for Kindergarten entrance follow:
• 5 doses of DTaP/DTP/DT
• 4 doses of polio
• 2 doses of MMR
• HIB is not manditory
• 3 doses of Hepatitis B
• 2 doses of Varicella

If immunization requirements are incomplete at registration school officials will ask you to get what is needed and provide the new dates to the school nurse before the first day of school in the fall.

If immunizations are still not complete by the first day of school or if parents have not provided a birth certificate, the child will not be allowed to attend school until all msising documents are provided.
