Doris I. Weihrauch had worked for 20 years in the Ada school cafeteria
Doris I Weihrauch, 89, of Ada, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
Doris was born Oct. 5, 1922, in McGuffey, Ohio, to Everett and Louella (Symonds) Shadley, who preceded her in death.
She was married to Clarence e. Weihrauch on October 31, 1941, and he died in 1978.
She worked for 20 years at Ada High School in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Hardin County Homemakers, the Liberty Grange for 50 years, the Pomona Grange, the Ada VFW Post #9381 Ladies Auxillary, and the Ada Senior Citizens. She also volunteered at Lima Memorial Health System for 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, Byron (Annette) Weihrauch of Tombstone, Ariz., and Ronald L. (Martha) Weihrauch, Sr. of Ada; three daughters, Donna (Virgil) Campbell OF Ada, Anita (Steve) Walters of Arlington, and Debra (Jeff) Young of Ada; a sister, Barbara Weihrauch of Dunkirk; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Virgil E. Campbell; one brother, Everett Shadley, Jr.; and one sister, Carole Sutz.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Ron Weihrauch and Pastor Tim Garmon officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association and/or the Lima Memorial Volunteer Auxillary.
