Earl Grigsby 1933-2012
Earl Grigsby, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at 12:57 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
He was born June 7, 1933 in Hindman, Kentucky to Timothy and Della (Sparkman) Grigsby and they are both are deceased.
He married Anas Anett Wireman on August 21, 1954 and she died November 20, 1989.
Earl was a self-employed truck driver.
Earl attended the Freewill Baptist Church in McGuffey, Ohio; he was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War; and he was a life member of the VFW Post #1275 of Lima.
SURVIVORS include: 2 SONS: Earl “Eugene” (Margie) Grigsby of Spencerville, Ohio and Mark D. Grigsby of Lima, Ohio
3 DAUGHTERS; Vickie (Danie) Ryan of Lima, Ohio; Tammy K. Grigsby of Spencerville, Ohio and Teresa (Todd) Fitzpatrick of Bath, Michigan.
1 BROTHER: Bill (Marjorie) Grigsby of Spencerville, Ohio.
14 GRANDCHILDREN and 17 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: 1 Son, Steve R. Grigsby; two sisters: Mary Wireman and Fannie Pots; and five brothers: Logan, Harry, Oscar, Rosco and John L. Grigsby.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BEGIN AT 1:00 pm ON Tuesday, October 2, 2102
at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Dave Trusty officiating.
BURIAL WILL BE IN Preston Cemetery Alger, Ohio.
FRIENDS MAY CALL 4:00-8:00 PM on Monday, October 1, 2102 and Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM - one hour prior to the service - at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
