Evelyn E. Fleming was a 1938 Ada HS graduate
Evelyn E. Fleming, 92, died at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 11, 2012, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
She was born Aug. 19, 1920, in Ada to R. Wayne and Anna Elzay Wright, who preceded her in death. On June 8, 1940, she married Lester V. Fleming, who died Sept. 13, 2009.
Mrs. Fleming was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Ada. She was a 1938 graduate of Ada High School, Ada.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas J. (Sharon) Fleming, of Harrod, Daniel (Linda) Fleming, of Bluffton, and John L. (Deb) Fleming, of Lafayette; two daughters, Martha (Kenneth) Fitzpatrick, of Springfield, Va., and Joan Fleming, of Lima; four sisters, Helen Smith, of Lima, Patricia Betz, of Kenton, Norma Davis, of Marion, and Phyllis Jean Vermillion, of Roundhead; and 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Fleming; seven brothers, Leo, Floyd, Ray, Gary, Ralph, Bill and Wayne Wright; and four sisters, Shirley Wright, Cecil Williams, Betty Jo Klingler and Rosemary Wright.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Ada. The Rev. David Coffin will officiate. Burial will be in Desenberg Cemetery, Harrod.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the activities fund at Richland Manor Nursing Home.
