Grand opening July 23 for two businesses sharing 220 N. Main St.
Ada’s newest North Main Street business is actually two businesses, operated by one family:
• Streamline Insurance Solutions
• Wine and Design
The two businesses relocated from South Main Street to 220 N. Main St. earlier this spring and plan a Saturday, July 23, grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will feature door prizes, a food truck, an opportunity to meet the staff and a special visit from Cinderella, compliments of "Art Me!" a traveling paint and party studio from Ottawa.
Watch the Icon for more grand opening details.
Owners are Mark Southward, his daughter, Amanda Morrison, and Amanda’s husband Joe Morrison, who are from the Hardin Northern area.
Streamline Insurance Solutions
As an independent agency, Streamline offers customers choices from 40 different carriers, according to Mark Southward.
“We offer life, health, auto, home, commercial and farm insurance,” he said. “We offer a variety of property coverage for businesses, farm and equipment. We also specialize in voluntary and employer paid benefits.”
He added that Streamline can simplify customer’s enrollments by providing a free online enrollment system.
The agency is currently open by appointment with regular office hours being established soon.
Wine and Design
On the last Tuesday of each month is an art class with cocktails.
“We provide a laid-back evening of fun,” says Amanda Morrison, who coordinates the classes.
Darrel Seiler instructs participants in an art project while artists relax, sip and paint along, Amanda explains.
The wine and design classes are a big success as three events have taken place and each one has sold out.
The next event is Tuesday, July 26, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 each and may be purchased at www.uncorkedwineandesign.com or at the office at 220 N. Main St.
The July 26 menu includes pineapple barbecue meatballs, jalapeno popper grilled corn dip with tortilla chips, s’more dip-melted chocolate covered in roasted marshmallow with graham cracker to dip plus lemon blueberry whoopee pies.
Art participants bring their own wine to the event.
