ONU’s Davis All-American Scholar

Junior Tyler Davis was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for the 2015-16 men's golf season by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Davis is a junior Pharmacy major from Liberty Center and was also named All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC this season.
He had a team-low average of 76.0 through 18 rounds in 2016. Davis took first place at the Heidelberg Spring Invitational after firing a season-low 72 in both rounds.
He also finished ninth at the 2016 OAc Championships tournament.
The men's golf team finished second at the OAC Championships and posted a 38-14-1 record in 2016 under third-year head coach Chad Bucci.
