Downtown Redevelopment Districts topic Sept. 16 in Kenton
Hardin County's next Economic & Community Development Committee meeting on at 8 a.m., Friday, Sept. 16, at Henry's Restaurant in Kenton.

The guest presenter is Nate Green, Director of Economic Development for the Montrose Group, LLC. He will provide details about Ohio House Bill 233, Downtown Redevelopment Districts (DRD) and how it can be enacted via local municipal legislation.
The approved state legislation will allow historic communities, to establish DRD's for the purposes of promoting the rehabilitation of historic buildings, creating jobs, encouraging economic development in commercial and mixed-use areas, and supporting grants and loans to technology-oriented and other businesses.
