Ada HS homecoming approaches - here are some details
Ada High School students are beginning to think about homecoming. Here's of this this year's details from the school website.
STUDENT COUNCIL-HOMECOMING: Guest request forms are available in the high school office for the Homecoming dance, Oct. 1.
If you are planning to bring a date that does not attend Ada High School, this form needs to be filled out and returned to the high school office by Sept. 30, by 3:30 p.m.
Also, tickets will not go on sale until Sept. 26 and school fees will need to be paid before a ticket can be purchased.
YEARBOOK: Spirit uniforms are on sale this Friday at the game. Cheap prices and many to choose from.
POWDER PUFF SHIRT ORDER: Forms are due Friday, Sept. 16. If you need one see Mr. Ames.
Book Club will have its first meeting of the year Friday. Jr. High students are welcome to come before school for doughnuts beginning at 8 a.m. High school students will be meeting during lunch for desserts and discussion beginning at 12:45 p.m. See Mrs. Smith with any questions.
Attention any teen leaders that want to make a change:
PVFF is now introducing our youth-led network called Teen Action Partnership. The group will meet once per month for the duration of the school year. The first meeting is on Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 4-7 p.m. at the Library in Kenton.
Food will be served and the program is free to all students in grades 9-12. The program's goal is to have the teens combat issues such as drug and alcohol use/abuse, suicide prevention and many other issues they deem important.
See Mrs. Prater if you have further questions.
The Ada Midget Football and Cheerleaders host its 4th Annual Cancer Walk. This year all proceeds will go to the family of Amelia Griffin.
The team would love for all students to be involved in this cause. The team asks each class, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th to raise money to support our fellow student, Amelia Griffin, who has been battling cancer for the past two years.
Bring in $2 by the following advisory on Monday, Sept. 26. If each class raises a minimum of $50 they will have their class name on the back of the shirts. There will be t-shirt sales soon and a big celebration on Oct 23 at the football stadium.
Everyone is encouraged to come and wear your shirts. We will also be wearing our shirts to school on Oct 21 and gather for a group picture. You can send the collected money to the office marked: Ada Midget Cancer Walk.
