Kizzie Lawrence 1921 - 2016
Kizzie Lawrence, 95, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at 9:58 p.m. at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.
She was born on March 30, 1921 in Floyd County, Kentucky, to Ned and Polly (Eldridge) Sparks who preceded her in death. On Oct. 26, 1940 she married Lewis "Tuffy" Lawrence who died on Jan. 28, 1996.
Kizzie retired in 1983 after working for 15 years at Essex Wire Company, Kenton. She was a member of Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: George and Will Sparks; and eight sisters: Eva Bradley, Hattie Sparks, Ann Marie Sparks, Sallie Sparks, Mary Manns, Amilda Bailey, Dora Jahimuak and Louise Corbin.
Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lost Creek Care Center Activities Fund at 804 S. Mumaugh Road, Lima, Ohio 45804.
