A great way to start the competition season
The Ada High School Marching Band began its 2016 competition season earning first place in class C (schools with less than 300 students in grades 10-12) at the Revere High School Invitational held Sept. 24 in Richfield.
Ada’s color guard received the highest overall score regardless of band size, while the entire group earned the honor of Best Visual Effects overall.
Achievements also included Best Color Guard and Best Percussion in Class C.
In addition, the band earned awards for Best General Effects and Best Visual Effects in the combined B and C classes with their Toy Story-themed show.
This year’s competition show features music from Toy Story, including original compositions by director, Jonathan Lischak. Amy Webb serves as the Color Guard Director.
The Revere High School Invitation is an OMEA (Ohio Music Education Association) adjudicated event.
The Ada High School Marching Band continues its competition season on Saturday, Oct. 8, in Norton, Ohio at the “Art in Motion” OMEA competition.
