L-B eliminates Ada girls' soccer team in tourney
By Cort Reynolds
FINDLAY - Top-seeded host Liberty-Benton knocked off the Ada girls soccer
team 7-0 in second round tournament action Saturday afternoon.
The district quarterfinal defeat ended the Lady Bulldog season at 6-11-1,
their best record in years.
Ada, seeded 10th, also won the first tournament game in program history
over Otsego after a double overtime tie necessitated a shootout.
"We didn't play particularly well," said Ada head coach Jeff Hunt of the
loss to L-B, which outscored the Bulldogs 15-1 in two wins this month.
"Six wins is the second-best number of wins in program history in a
season. The girls did a great job this season. It is something to build on
for the girls soccer program," he added.
