Football: Four-game win streak ends
By Dusty Donley
The Ada footballers saw their four-game winning streak come to an end Friday night, as the powerful Delphos Jefferson Wildcats came to town and blanked the Bulldogs, 44-0.
The loss eliminates Ada from NWC title contention and drops the Dogs to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the league.
The Wildcats racked up 38 first half points behind a menacing ground game powered by senior Hunter Binkley, enroute to the 44 point shutout. DJ has beaten Ada in three straight, the last two by a combined score of 95-7.
The Bulldogs will attempt to start a new win streak this Friday night when they take the show on the road to Allen East.
The Mustangs (6-3, 3-3) are coming off a 29-14 conference loss at Spencerville. Game time is 7 p.m.
