‘Classical Jam’ comes to Freed Center stage Nov. 10
Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present “Classical Jam” as part of the ongoing Studio Series in the Stambaugh Studio Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
Classical Jam (CJ) is committed to presenting engaging, lively, and high-caliber performances to audiences of diverse ages, cultures and social backgrounds through concerts, workshops and outreach programs. CJ unites acclaimed soloists and chamber musicians for performances that delight both new and established audiences of classical music.
Known for their sparkling style and intriguingly themed concerts, this dynamic ensemble of master players present wide-ranging repertoire – from traditional works and their own arrangements of classic favorites, to original compositions by members of CJ and other living composers.
Classical Jam aims to develop a more personal relationship between concertgoers, performers and composers by inviting audiences to share in the process of creation and discovery.
In addition, the Freed Center will host a workshop on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. Open to the public, the workshop is included in the ticket cost. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments to the workshop.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $7 for children and ONU students. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900.
