Ada scouts for food!
By Monty Siekerman
Tom Lehman (left) and Dave Savino were among many who helped organize food brought to the Ada Food Pantry. The Pantry now has much more to offer to those who need help with food expenses.
Javon Keith, 2, wanted to be a big helper--and was--when Scouts brought non perishable food to the Ada Food Pantry on Saturday morning.
Scouts went door-to door to collect donations from residents to restock the pantry which is located in the basement of the Presbyterian Church. As sacks and sacks of food were brought in, others placed the cans on the shelves in an organized manner.
Those needing help with food costs may go to the pantry on Tuesday afternoons. This is a non-governmental food source.
