Senior Britt Lauck (Lima/Shawnee) has been named the women's basketball Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 14-19. Lauck led the Polar Bears to a 3-0 week to open the 2016-17 campaign.

The senior led Northern in scoring in both contests at the Denison Tip-Off Tournament this weekend and was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts. Lauck posted a game-high 18 points in a 56-44 victory over Denison and added a career-best five steals in the contest. Lauck also scored a career-high 21 points in a 69-46 victory over Mount St. Joseph.

The Polar Bears return to action Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm as they host Defiance in the first of a two-game double header with the men's basketball team.
