Harold Blevins was retired from Airfoil Textron, Lima
Harold James Blevins, 83, died on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at 5:29 a.m. at his residence in Ada.
He was born on Feb. 21, 1933 in Offut, Ky., to James N. and Julia (Boyd) Blevins who preceded him in death. On Feb. 8, 1954, Harold married Clara Castle and she preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2006.
Harold retired in 1991 from Airfoil Textron formerly Ex-Cello of Lima. He loved to be outdoors gardening, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three sons and a daughter: James Blevins of Lima, David (Randi) Blevins of Woodstock, Ga., Rick (Patty) Blevins of Lima and Jeannie Blevins of Ada; 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Madge Blevins Parsons of Prestonsburg, Ky.
Harold was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Blevins on Jan. 18, 2010; two sisters: Ruth Agnes Weddington and Eunice Parsons.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Dr. David Blevins officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or American Kidney Foundation.
