Ian McVey men’s OAC indoor track and field athlete of the week

ADA — Sophomore Ian McVey (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) has been named the Men's Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 16-21.
McVey led the Polar Bears (3-1 overall) to a second place finish at the OAC North Split Meet on Saturdayafternoon.
The sophomore posted first place finishes in his only two events during the meet.
McVey won the 1-mile run in 4:23.34 and took first place in the 1,000-meter run in 2:36.67.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday as they compete in the Grand Valley State (Mich.) Invitational with field events set to begin at 11 am and track events to begin at noon.
