Freshman Nate Barcaskey (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 29-Feb.4.

Barcaskey went 2-0 on the week in two OAC duals and finished sixth overall at the John Summa Invitational at Baldwin Wallace in the heavyweight division.

In ONU's (10-3 overall, 3-1 OAC) dual against Otterbein, Barcaskey pinned his OC counterpart in 2:47 to lead the Polar Bears in a 30-9 victory.

The freshman would pick up a 5-2 decision in the heavy weight to cap off the night as Northern took on No. 9-ranked Baldwin Wallace.

Barcaskey picked up a pin and a 4-2 decision at the John Summa Invitational before medically forfeiting and finishing sixth overall at the invite.
