A garage fire in Alger and a field fire in Marion Township are being investigated as arson, according to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.

Both fires are being investigated by the Hardin County Fire and Explosion investigation team. 

The Alger Community Fire Association responded both fires.

On Feb. 3 the fire department responded to a garage fire at 207 W. Wagner St. in Alger. The field fire on Feb. 5 was located in the 1200 block of County Road 92 in Marion Township.

A reward up to $5,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Anyone with information on one or both of these fires is asked to call Det. Conley of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office 419-673-1268 Ext 2106.
