Junior Lindsey Rayhill wins three events to lead women's swimming & diving in dual meet with Wittenberg
Junior Lindsey Rayhill won three events to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team in a 179-119 loss to Wittenberg Friday night at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 2-3 on the season, while the Tigers improve to 5-1.
Rayhill swept the butterfly events and won the 200 I.M. to lead ONU.
She won the 100 fly in :59.75, won the 200 fly in 2:10.66 and won the 200 I.M. in 2:16.73.
Senior Amy Elmer swept the diving events, winning the 1-meter with a score of 247.05 and the 3-meter with a score of 242.45.
Northern also had five second place finishes on the night.
Senior Mackenze Hoffman was second in the 200 free in 2:03.32, junior Alena Anderson was second in the 1000 free in 11:34.57, sophomore Katie Lorson was second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 167.90 and freshman Lindsey Inkrott was second in the 100 back in 1:02.69 and the 200 back in 2:16.09.
The Polar Bears will return to action Nov. 29-Dec. 1 at the Wooster Invitational.
