ONU men's track to compete in Tune Up
The No. 24-ranked Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team is set to compete at the Mount Union Raider Tune Up Meet hosted by Mount Union in Alliance on Saturday .
The meet is comprised of nine schools .Field events and track events are set to begin at noon. Northern made its debut in the fourth weekly USTFCCCA top-25 power rankings, coming in at No. 24 .
Senior Lucas Shumate and sophomore Ian McVey both posted first place finishes to lead the Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team at the All-Ohio Championships.
For the fourth time in four meets, Shumate won the weight throw to lead Northern. McVey also posted a first place finish as he won the 1-mile run in 4:26.49 .
Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 8th season at ONU with a 403-96 indoor record, a winning percentage of .808.
