Alvena I. “Terri” Conley 1929-2017
Alvena I. “Terri” Conley, age 87, died on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 9:50pm at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Dublin.
She was born on September 10, 1929, in Fort Amanda, Ohio to Jesse and Bertha (Burchin) Thomas who preceded her in death. On December 9, 1950, Terri married Clyde M. Conley and he died on November 10, 1990.
Terri was an office administrator for the Ada Farmers Exchange for several years. She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and the Sugar Grove United Methodist Women, Ada. Terri was a 1947 graduate of Lima Central High School. She was a life member of the Ada VFW Post #9381 Ladies Auxiliary where she held several offices over the years. She was a member and past treasurer of the Ada Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two sons: Donald E. Conley of Columbus and Steven W. (Cheryl) Conley of Ada; three daughters: Patricia A. (Joseph) Vicente of Brighton, MI, Diane K. (Chris) Anthony of Howard, and Barbara S. Conley of Columbus; seven grandchildren: Heather (Mike) Paddock, Heath (Emily) Vicente, Brian Vicente, Stefanie (Greg) Chambers, Samantha (Charles) Slusser, Christopher Anthony, and Andrew (Laurie) Anthony: and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Virgil, Carl, Harold, and Richard Thomas.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00am on Monday, March 6, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Courtnie Morton officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday, March 5, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
A VFW Post #9381 Ladies Auxiliary memorial service will be held at 5:30pm Sunday, March 5, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice
