Lester E. Mumaw II, age 65, died on Wednesday, March 22, at 5:00pm at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born on January 11, 1952 in Lima, Ohio to Lester E. and Betty J. (Plummer) Mumaw who preceded him in death. Lester was previously married to Pamela (Parks) Mumaw. He was engaged to Wendy Porter and she survives in LaFayette.

Lester retired from Northwest Towing in Beaverdam where he had worked as an operations manager. He was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ. Lester was the current president of the LaFayette Village Council. He was a member of the Colonial Golf Club. He loved to go camping and enjoyed riding his Harley.

Also surviving are three sons: Heath (Christy) Mumaw of Lima, Jason (Amy) Mumaw of Upper Arlington and Caleb Welch of LaFayette; three daughters: Rachel (Kyln) Mitchell of Marysville, Christin Welch of LaFayette and Megan Mumaw of LaFayette; six grandchildren; and a sister, Dixie (David) Thompson of Harrod.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Sue Mumaw.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 28, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Sam Wireman and Pastor David Thompson officiating. Inurnment will be in LaFayette Cemetery, LaFayette.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, March 27, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
