Betty E. Winegardner 1934 - 2017
Betty E. Winegardner, 82, died on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:14p.m.at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
She was born on October 31, 1934 in Kenton, Ohio to Harley and Marie (Shadley) Dunson who preceded her in death. On November 3, 1956 Betty married Donald S. Winegardner Sr, and he died on February 15, 1988.
Betty was employed at Lima Memorial Hospital as a Housekeeper for 19 years. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in rural Harrod. Betty was a 1952 graduate of McGuffey High School.
She is survived by her son, Scotty Winegardner Jr. of Harrod.
Betty was preceded in death by her four brothers: Donald, Harley “Gene”, Pearl, and Paul Dunson.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at Hanson Neely Funeral Home in Alger. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at Hanson Neely Funeral Home Alger.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
