ONU women's track and field, highest ranking ever
The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team climbed to No. 9 in the second weekly United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association power rankings.
This marks the highest the Polar Bears (47-3 Overall) have ever been ranked during the outdoor season in school history.
ONU received 70.77 points in the rankings.
Washington (Mo.) held the top spot with 184.48 points, while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Cal.) came in second with 149.54 points and Williams (Mass.) rounded out the top-3 with 121.00 points.
Northern is coming off of a dominating performance at the Marv Frye Invitational where it took first place in the team standings.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday, Apr. 15 as they travel to Delaware to compete in the All-Ohio Championships.
