Louis W Harrod 1922 - 2017
Louis W. Harrod, age 94, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2:30a.m. at The Wyngate, Lima.
He was born August 20, 1922 in Harrod, Ohio to Earl P. and Hazel (May) Harrod who preceded him in death. On September 8, 1944 Louis married Mary Lee Hathaway and she survives in Lima.
Louis was a veterinarian. He was a member of the Harrod Christian Church. Louis was a US Army and Air Force veteran.
Also surviving are a son, Jim (Susan) Harrod of Harrod; three daughters: Teresa (Michael) Hall of Dundee, OR, Kathleen (Diane) Monroe of East Norriton, PA and Elaine Goldsmith of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Harrod; and a son-in-law, John Goldsmith.
A Memorial service will begin at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, May 13 at Harrod Christian Church at 273 South Main Street, Harrod, Ohio 45850 with Pastor Gary Rummel officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 11:00a.m. on Saturday, May 13.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harrod Christian Church at P.O. Box 168, Harrod, Ohio 45850.
