26 inducted into Ada HS NHS
Twenty-six members were inducted into the Ada High School National Honor Society during a May 5 ceremony, according to Sarah Davis, advisor.
The membership of the Ada High School Chapter of the National Honor Society has been earned by the effective demonstration of the four qualities held in high esteem by the Society:
• Scholarship
• Leadership
• Service
• Character
The Ada chapter specifically requires students:
1. Have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale through the recently ended semester.
2. The accumulation of a prescribed number of honor points earned through participation in extra-curricular activities. The points are assigned by the faculty member who directs the activity and is dependent on the student’s involvement in the group or team.
3. The approval of 75% of the high school faculty that choose to vote on the character of the candidate.
