Family and friends were proud and happy Sunday afternoon when 61 Ada High School students received their diplomas in the school gym. Nine of them completed their studies at Apollo Career Center.
Soon-to-be-graduates processed into the gym while the high school band played "Fanfare and Processional."
History teacher Mike Styer gave the commencement address.
Valedictorians (Rielyn Castle, Taryn Fullom, Meredith Marshall, Elizabeth Milks) and salutatorian (Ashley Breidenbach) were recognized for their strong,, consistent academic accomplishments throughout their school years.
After the ceremony, the graduates, as well as family and friends, mingled on the lawn for congratulations and pictured-taking, all accomplished on a sultry, sunny (but dry) day in Ada while nearby towns were experiencing storms.
