Accounting program highly ranked
The ONU Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program has been ranked in the top 50 nationally, and the third-ranked online program, in rankings compiled by accounting.com.
The MSA program offers courses in forensic accounting and audit services (FAAS track). The FAAS track will develop skills in forensic accounting, auditing, fraud examination and business valuation. ONU’s MSA program offers a blended format, combining online and traditional classroom instruction.
“It is always nice to see the hard work of our faculty, staff and students recognized. The College is committed to providing an exceptional MSA education grounded in promoting professional certifications and real-world application,” said John C. Navin, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business Administration.
The growth outlook for the field of accounting is strong. The U.S. Department of Labor and Statistics projects 15.7 percent growth in the accounting profession between 2010 and 2020. As accounting.com notes, a Master of Accounting is often required to achieve senior positions and sit for the CPA exam.
